The Organization for Latino Health Advocacy (OLHA) is a national nonprofit advocacy organization that improves health outcomes for Latinos and other medically underserved communities through advocacy, education, and research.
We turn community priorities into policy action. OLHA develops policy briefs, advocacy letters, congressional briefings, and action campaigns focused on issues like healthcare access, women’s health, immigrant health, chronic disease, and social determinants of health.
OLHA provides culturally and linguistically relevant health education—for example, through its partnership with USA Boxing, it delivers bilingual health insurance literacy and healthcare advocacy workshops to youth boxers and their families.
OLHA partners with communities to identify barriers to care, evaluate programs, and generate evidence that can inform future policy recommendations. For example, its USA Boxing initiative includes community-based research on barriers to insurance coverage.

During this Youth Week of Action (September 26 – October 2), our 10-member Youth Advisory Board is spearheading a national effort to bring YAN chapters to college campuses nationwide.
By partnering with us, you empower young adults to drive public health policy, champion civic engagement, and build healthier communities for all.
