Patient advocacy focused on increased access to affordable, culturally competent healthcare services for Latinos and other medically underserved communities, including individuals with disabilities.
Implement public policy initiatives to address the disproportionate rates of chronic diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, within medically underserved and rural communities.
Establish evidence-based interventions to address the upstream drivers of health disparities in medically underserved communities, including food insecurity, violence prevention, and environmental health.
Ensure women are included in clinical research, drug development, and the design of public health interventions.
Support public policy to improve the health of immigrants, including access to trauma-informed care for those with limited English proficiency.

Our mission is to improve health outcomes in medically underserved communities through advocacy, education, and research.
Our vision is to see a future where Hispanic/Latino and all medically underserved communities have equitable access to the resources, knowledge, and support they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

We are calling all youth advocates to join us at the table - to help shape OLHA's policy priorities.
